Disaster Debris Monitoring

True North has extensive experience in monitoring the removal of disaster generated debris.  We have successfully monitored the removal of disaster debris for over 100 communities over the past 17 years.  We have performed services following US landfall of all major hurricanes since 2005, including Katrina, Gustav, Ike, Irene, Isaac, and Sandy.  True North has monitored following all types of disasters including tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, straight line winds, severe winter storms, and wild fires.  We have monitored the removal of over 17 million cubic yards of disaster debris.  True North has assisted with FEMA and other financial recovery of hundreds of millions of dollars for communities affected by disasters.

Electronic Ticketing System

True North has developed and implemented an Automated Debris Management System which uses tried and true Microsoft technology to operate a cutting edge, resilient system.  North Track Data Management System (North Track) allows for a complete and accurate electronic ticketing process following a disaster event.  Our complete system establishes, stores and provides documentation required by FEMA, FHWA, and all other applicable federal, state, and local agencies to assist in maximizing your eligible reimbursements.

Damage Assessment Services

Following a disaster, it is critical that jurisdictions and organizations understand how the disaster has affected them.  True North Emergency Management provides Damage Assessment services to its clients.  This includes determination of how infrastructure, critical services and facilities, businesses, residents, and the environment have been adversely affected.  The Damage Assessment Services provided by True North are designed to take a more detailed look at exact damages.  True North will work with clients to develop detailed reports on damages, including cost estimates.  This information can then be used in the Public Assistance process to begin the development of Project Worksheets.

Disaster Debris Management Planning

True North has extensive experience in developing Disaster Debris Management Plans (DDMP).  Our very extensive debris management experience allows us to help each community develop an individual plan to meet their specific needs.  Following many disasters, approved DDMPs allow communities to receive additional FEMA reimbursement.  A well-developed plan greatly improves a community’s response to any disaster.  True North visits with each major stakeholder to incorporate their input and specific needs.
