Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) savings
through the HGACBuy Cooperative Program
HGACBuy offers additional ways of purchasing, utilize
our partnership with MARC. MARC/KCRPC
has generated $5,281,685 in regional contracts utilized by 50
agencies since the program began in 2003.
An additional $41,873,341 in equipment orders,
representing 43 agencies, was processed through KCRPC and the
Interlocal agreement #04-1443 with HGACBuy (Houston-Galveston Area
Council - cooperative purchasing).
Administrative, advertising, and actual cost savings totaled
$1,162,948, as a result of the regional contracts and HGACBuy
cooperative.
Between 2008 and 2009 MARC/KCRPC have seen a 10.51%
increase in dollar volume, 18% increase in total savings to agencies,
participation on regional contracts increased 8.7%, and usage of
HGACBuy contracts increased to 16%.
